The 2023 George Etomi Courtroom Mail Business Law Prize for young lawyers will open on 4th of December 2023 on Courtroommail.com. The competition which usually takes place in the last quarter of every year will extend to February 2024 in celebration of the 70th birthday of George Etomi on the 15th of February 2024.
George Etomi was the first Chairman of NBA Section on Business Law ( NBA- SBL) and a leading business Lawyer in Nigeria who has inspired a lot of lawyers across the African Continent.
The winner of this year’s special edition of the quiz prize will go home with N500,000.00 in celebration of the 70th birthday of George Etomi. The competition is open to young lawyers who are in their 7th year post call and below, i.e, those who were called from 2017 to the current year.
The competition will be in four stages that will be answered on Courtroommail.com . The first stage will have a question posted on the 4th of December in the Quiz Hall menu of Courtroommail.com. That question will be known as registration question and anyone who answers the registration question is deemed to have registered for the competition. The question will be open until the 31st of December 2023.
On Saturday 6th of January at 8am, the second stage question(s) will be posted and half of the participants who answer correctly will qualify for the third stage.The question will be closed at 12noon on the 6th.
The third stage question will be posted on 20th of January 2024 and the first 20 participants to answer correctly will qualify for the final stage which will hold on Saturday 3rd of February at 8am being the birthday month of George Etomi.
The winner will go home with N500,000.00.

The General rules of the competition are
- Only those who participated in the registration question will proceed in the competition. No one can join along the way.
- If a participant answers twice,the first answer will be considered.
- Participants are encouraged to take note of the dates of the competition as Courtroommail.com is not obliged to send reminders. However we will endeavour to send reminders via our social media handles. All questions are open at 8am at every stage apart from the registration stage and it is about the fastest to answer.
