Following protests by Lagosians, the Akinwumi Ambode led Lagos State government has announced a reduction the controversial Land use charge.

This was made known at an inter-ministerial press briefing held at Alausa on Thursday.

The government announced a cut of 50% on commercial buildings, reduced charges for Owner-occupier with 3rd party including industries and manufacturing concerns by 25%.

Also, the government announced a waiver penalty for late Payments across board, tax credits for LUC charges already paid.

The government also introduced instalment payment system
