The Monthly General meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch will hold on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2.30pm prompt at the Lagos City Hall, Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island, Lagos.

Due to the expected large number of attendants and to the limited space of the Foyer of the Lagos State High Court, Igbosere the venue has been changed to the Lagos City Hall.

The meeting which is sponsored by Mr. Yemi Akangbe, one of the candidates for the chairmanship position in the Branch’s forthcoming elections, has Chief Louis Mbanefo (SAN), as Special Guest and speaker of the day. Chief Mbanefo (SAN), will be speaking on the topic: ‘What is Maritime Law about?’

The workshop, which is a Continuous Legal Education programme of the Premier Bar, is to evaluate the current state-of-knowledge of young lawyers, and also provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas on key maritime issues. All aspects of maritime law will be contemplated, from global to regional, observations and modelling, from the geological scale to the instrumental era and future projections and including impacts on the coastal zones.
