Breaking News: Verification suspended until 8th of August-Election to hold on 19th and 20th

After an important meeting held today by the President of Nigerian Bar Association and the stakeholders in the forthcoming NBA Election,the President of NBA has released a statement obtained by Courtroom Mail  which states the  new details of the election as follows:

1.The NBA has instructed Crenet to suspend the verification process and introduce a simplified form to enable outstanding members verify easily.

2. Re-Opening of verification starts on Wednesday 8th of August 2018

3.Completion of Verification 11th August 2018

4. Reconciliation of Verification data by Crenet Saturady 11-Wednesday 15th of August 2018

5. Publication of final voters List THURSDAY 16TH August 2018

6. Transfer and Testing of voting platform Saturday 18th of August

7. NBA ELECTION:  Sunday 19th and Monday 20th

NBA Election verification: Many unanswered questions put the election in a muddy spotlight

Africa’s biggest bar association is going through one of its biggest challenges in 26 years with its seeming difficulty to effect a smooth transition of power.The past two weeks have been turbulent with allegations and counter allegations towards the credibility of the election which caused  the bar association to hurriedly employ another ICT partner to help with the process.
