At the just concluded National Executive Committee(NEC) meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association( NBA),the President of the NBA,Mr Paul Usoro SAN has presented his proposal to resuscitate the insurance cover which used to be in place for lawyers.
The NBA few years ago stopped renewing the policy and members have been clamouring for it ever since.
Mr Usoro informed NEC members that discussions have started with Leadway Insurance ,the company that provided the initial cover before the renewal stopped and Wapic Insurance another reputable insurance company.
Both organisations have made presentations to the NBA on insurance covers that extend beyond life and include medical expenses,temporary and permanent disabilities,Critical illness.
The Insurance is expected to commence soon.
