Mike Ozekhome SAN has issued a disclaimer in response to the activities of some social media hoodlums who have been criminially soliciting for funds from the public for the defence of the cases of Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement issued by Mike Ozekhome SAN the lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu obtained by Courtroom Mail, he stated that he or any member of the defence counsel did not and will never authorise anyone to solicit for funds for the prosecution of the cases of the leader of IPOB.
He stated that anyone giving money to anyone under the guise of contributing to the defence of the cases of the IPOB leader does that at his or her own peril.
He emphasised that his involvement in the case of Nnamdi Kanu was never for any financial consideration but to redress the brazen serial state sponsored violation of his human rights.
He also notified the security agents to arrest and prosecute all those involved in the criminal activity soliciting for funds in his name or Chambers
