Dear Colleagues,

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Olumide Akpata has set up a new Caretaker Committee for the NBA Ikeja Branch to manage the affairs of the Branch in the interim and organise Branch election, in accordance with Article 11 of the Uniform Bye-Laws for Branches contained in the 3rd Schedule to the NBA Constitution 2015 (as amended).

This follows the expiration of the tenure of the 3-member Caretaker Committe set up by the Paul Usoro, SAN-administration and accords with the promise made by the NBA President at the Stakeholders Meeting which he held with the outgone Caretaker Committee and other members of the Branch on 28 September 2020.

The new Caretaker Committee comprises of the following persons:

  1. Seni Adio, SAN – Chairman
  2. Paul Ananaba, SAN – Co-Chairman
  3. Mr. Bisi Ademuwagun
  4. Mr. Adekunle Ojo
  5. Mr. Dave Ajetumobi
  6. Mrs. Chinenye Udeh
  7. Mr. Andy Akporugo Jnr
  8. Mr. Victor Opara
  9. Ms. Eyimofe Jemerigbe – Secretary

The NBA President expresses his profound gratitude to the outgone Caretaker Committee for managing the affairs of the Branch, from 30 June 2020 – 30 September 2020, to the best of their ability and appreciates their efforts despite the various difficulties they encountered which ultimately made the holding of Branch elections impracticable.

The tenure of the current Caretaker Committee shall be three months, commencing on 1 October 2020 and ending 31 December 2020, within which time the Committee will be expected to conduct election into the various Branch offices.

The NBA President calls on all members of the Association and especially members of NBA Ikeja Branch to cooperate with the Caretaker Committee to ensure the smooth execution of this critical assignment and an amicable resolution of all outstanding issues.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
