Lawyers in the Lagos branch of Nigerian Bar Association are today celebrating the birthday of their Secretary,Ikechukwu Uwanna. Courtroom mail is proud to associate with him on this occasion of his birthday.
Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna has over a decade of experience in commercial law practice and is a Partner with Tsedaqah Attorneys. Before co-founding the firm, he had garnered extensive corporate commercial litigation and transactional experience with Serenity Legal Union and Partners, Port Harcourt as well relevant Tax experience with SIAO Partners, where he advised both local and multinational companies on their commercial and litigation matters. He is currently part of the team that is advising the Niger Delta Power Holding Company on its Calabar Generation Company Limited.
Ikechukwu has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Abia State University Nigeria; a Master’s degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos.
He is currently the Secretary of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association. Also, he is the Secretary of the Law Firm Management Committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association. Ikechukwu is also a member of Commonwealth Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, Nigerian Institute of Management, Chartered Institute of Taxation, Chartered Institute of Mediators and Conciliators, Capital Market Solicitors Association of Nigeria and Association of Outsourcing Practitioners of Nigeria.
Ikechukwu had previously served as a member of the National Editorial Board of the Nigerian Bar Association and was the foremost National Secretary of the Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigeria Bar Association.
Mr. Uwanna currently represents the Nigerian Bar Association on the Board of the Civil Society Committee of the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative.
Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna was in 2012 appointed a Notary Public of Nigeria.
