The Lion Bar has released a statement condemning the kidnap of one of its members and seeking urgent intervention from the Police in helping the member regain his freedom. The full statement obtained by Courtroom Mail from the Publicity secretary of the Bar branch reads in full:
At an Emergency Meeting of the NBA Benin Branch -‘the Lion Bar, presided over the Branch Chairman- Prince Collins Benson Ogiegbaen A.I.C.M.C, the Branch, resolved and asks the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to detail his Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by DCP Abba Kyari to Benin to detect,investigate and bring to justice the abductors of its Member- Osobase Omo Iyoiha Esq., which abductors are the Children of one Afro a Benin Based Octogenarian.

The Chairman of the Edo Civil Societies Organisation (Edo Cso),Omobude Agho supported by its Publicity Secretary, Osazee Edigin deprecated the tainted antecedents of Afro and his Children and called for Justice for Osobase Omo Iyioha ,saying the Edo Civil Societies (Edo CSOs), is with the Lion Bar in its resolve to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly kidnap of the Distinguished Member of the Lion Bar .
