Lawyers across Nigeria are expressing their discontent over the death of a magistrate R.C Ogu in orlu,Imo State.
The Nigerian Bar Association,Imo State will be organising a protest and court protest over the incident.
A press release by the Publicity Secretary,Chkwurah Onuorah received by Courtroom Mail states as follows:
On the directive of the chairman, please take note that all members of NBA Owerri Branch in collaboration with our sister NBA Branches in Imo State will be boycotting all the Courts within the State from tomorrow Wednesday 28/11/2018 to Friday 30/11/2018 to press on the unacceptance of the Bar over the gruesome murder of late R. C. Ogu and the poor security of our Courts.
Take further notice that on Friday 30/11/2018 all members of NBA Owerri are to converge at the Bar Centre by 9:00am prompt for a peaceful match.
Dress Code for the peaceful match: Full Lawyer’s Attire without robe.
ALL MEMBERS OF NBA OWERRI ARE URGED TO COMPLY.
