Courtroom Mail has obtained a Public Notice issued by the vibrant Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association,Ikeja branch,Mr Adeshina Ogunlana in favour of the two Lawyers who were detained in Kuje Prisons,Abuja in the course of their duty.
Courtroom Mail recalls that the two lawyers David Amaefuna and Pius Udo-Inyang were acting for a Senator Dino Melaye who was accused of escaping from Police Custody after being arrested for another offence.

The attention of the NBA IKEJA BRANCH has been drawn to the arrest and detention of two young legal practitioners David Amaefuna and Pius Udo-Inyang by the police at Abuja . The lawyers were part of the legal team for a well known Senator accused of some heinous and violent crimes in Kogi state mainly. We learnt also of the arraignment of the gentlemen at a MPAPE magistrate court on charges of obstructing justice . That was two days ago. The learned trial court after taking application for their bail, deferred ruling till Monday next .Wonderful, quite wonderful. We in far away in IKEJA thought the charge is very bailable and that tour colleagues should not have to wait till 30/4/2018 to know their fate on the issue of their personal freedom. And so shall the Tigers come over to Abuja to identify and solidarise with our detained colleagues and particiPate in the efforts to see that they get the justice they deserve . THANK YOU .
