It’s indeed saddening to hear of the attack on the residents of Uvwheru community in Delta State by gunmen alleged to be Fulani herdsmen where several persons were killed and their bodies secretly buried, and also at Tsauya and Dankar villages in the Batsari Local Council of Katsina State, where several others were killed by gunmen.

It is with deep sense of pain that I call on the government to rise to the occasion and curb these menace that have continuously found it’s way in various states all over the country

The government owes it as a duty to ensure that the lives and properties of it’s citizens are protected, it’s a duty the citizens need not beg for.

We need a nation were we can freely move about our daily activities, sleep with our two eyes closed with the guarantee that our lives and properties are secured.

My heart felt sympathy goes to the families who have lost their loved ones in the above attacks, may God give them the fortitude to bear their loss and we pray that such occurrence will not repeat itself again.

Let us all take security issues more seriously both as government and as citizens and do our best to also assist the authorities in bringing these elements to book.

I believe strongly that if the government takes the issue of security seriously this attacks will be a thing of the past.
