The unusual trend is all to do with astral projection, which is also known as having an out-of-body experience.

Some people believe that the soul is able to consciously travel outside the body, an argument reinforced by recent scientific findings.

You may have even had an out-of-body experience yourself, with astral projection believed to be most common in people who are in the moments between sleeping and being awake.

For some, these feelings create the sensation of flying or falling, only to be sharply jolted awake moments later.

Steve G. Jones, an astral projection specialist, actually believes that it’s possible to train yourself to have these out-of-body experiences whenever you like.

And astral sex combines this perfectly innocent feeling with – you guessed it – sex, to create intimate moments which are truly out of this world.

The astral sex guru believes that when two people are having out-of-body sex, the couple isn’t actually having a physically intimate moment.

Instead, astral sex apparently leads to people’s souls being penetrated, which results in “no procreation, no STDs and no pregnancy.”

Steve explained: “Feedback is very important during sexual intercourse and that’s sometimes lost in the physical world… but in the astral world, feedback is automatic, because you’re seeing their soul.”

The Star reports that astral sex can result in a deeper connection than regular sex, and can be even achieved whilst masturbating.

To slip into an out-of-body experience, believers suggest lying down and relaxing – until the point where you are in a meditative state.

Whilst in the moment, try imagining that you’re slowly sitting up, and then visualize yourself leaving your body to enter the “astral plane”…

If this ridiculous theory doesn’t help you on your way to having sex, then you should try spicing things up by ditching missionary and trying some racier positions.
