1. WHAT IS COURTROOM MAIL?

Courtroom Mail is a law community publication that covers Lawyers in Africa established in 2009 and went online at courtroommail.com in 2015.

2. WHAT IS THE LISTING ABOUT?

Apart from publishing law related news and articles, Courtroom Mail seeks to build a network that will connect African Lawyers and provide access for all African Lawyers to all African Lawyers. The network will promote professional and business collaborations among African Lawyers. With more features coming to our listing, Courtroom Mail wants to make it easy for any lawyer in Africa to have and know at least one lawyer from each country in Africa. We are doing our part in erasing borders.

3. IS IT FREE?:

Yes , it is free. Signing up comes at no cost. However , one may want to upgrade to a verified membership which is a premium service to have access to more features.

4. WHAT ARE THE FEATURES THAT COME WITH BEING UPGRADED?

When you upgrade, you will have the verified mark on your profile. You will be able to add a Bio to your profile. You will be able update your profile by  listing as a Notary public , contract reviewer or commissioner for Oaths, you will have the Message button on your profile.

Remember, as soon as you receive  a mail about your verification, morefields will appear when you log in where you will update your Bio, include whether you are a Notary Public, contract reviewer or commissioner  for Oaths.

As we unfold our new features, you will be able to join a group eg Notary Public of Africa, Data Protection Lawyers of Africa, IP Lawyers of Africa , Kenya-Nigerian Lawyers Forum, South Africa- Ghana Forum.

5. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO UPGRADE?.

Only $10 ( N13, 500 for Nigerians) for a whole year.

6. HOW MANY SUBSCRIBERS ARE ON COURTROOM MAIL?

There are more than 2000 subscribers from more that 20 different countries of Africa namely: Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Cameroun, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Kingdom of Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Burundi etc

7. AFTER SIGNING UP, HOW DO I UPGRADE?

To upgrade, you must have signed up first for free. Then you will see a link to request verification. As soon as you request it, we will upgrade you after confirmation. You must have uploaded a profile picture before being upgraded.

8. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR 2026?

Courtroom Mail is scaling connections among African Lawyers through its listing and events. Currently, about 2000 African Lawyers from Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda and 15 other countries have signed up and listed .

In 2026 , Courtroom Mail aims to connect 1000 Notaries Public and commissioners of oath ( some countries appoint lawyers commissioners for oath)across the continent while seeking deeper connections for African Lawyers.

Notaries are becoming increasingly needed in cross border transaction and we hope to connect all of them in the continent.

In 2026 we shall be promoting an event listing of all law related events across the continent. We want all African Lawyers anywhere in the world to be able to attend as many law events as they want anywhere in Africa especially those conducted remotely.

9. WHAT IF I WANT TO LIST MY LAW FIRM INSTEAD?                                   Fantastic. Yes, you can . Listing of law firms is a premium service that comes with a cost of just $15 annually or N15, 000 for Nigerian law Firms.

10. WHAT OTHER INTERESTING  THING DO YOU DO?

We have  quiz prize competitions  for young Lawyers. These Prizes are  donated by prominent  lawyers in Nigeria.  We hope to expand the competitions across the continent.

Since 2022 we have been promoting  Courtroom  Mail 100. This is dedicated  to recognising  female lawyers across the continent  who have distinguished  themselves  as Super Heroes, Heroes, Influencers and Disruptors. It is published every year on International  Women’s Day.
