EKENEDILICHUKWU ILODIBE MOVES TO SETTLE 3 YEARS SALARY ARREARS WITH WORKERS OF EKENEDILI CHUKWU NIG LTD
Temporary relief came for the workers of Ekene Dili Chukwu Nig Ltd Workers in their suit brought against the Company and its CEO, Mr Ekenedili Chukwu Nonso Ilodibe as all parties entered into Terms of Settlement in the suit pending before Justice Tijani at the National Industrial Court Ikoyi Lagos .
In the Terms of Settlement dated the 26th of February 2019, the defendants Mr Ilodibe Ekenedili Chukwu Nonso and the Company agreed to pay the workers the sum of N50 million Naira in two installments ; first of which is to be paid on or before the 30th of June 2019 while the 2nd and Final installment would be paid on or before the 31st of August 2019
It could be recalled that the workers had dragged Mr Ilodibe and the Company before the National Industrial Court in Suit No NICN/LA/358/2017 over 3 years salaries owed them after Mr Nonso Ilodibe Ekenedili Chukwu took total control of the Company following the demise of his father Chief Dr Augustine Ejikeme Ilodibe
The parties have now adopted the terms of settlement they signed along their Counsels Messrs Chidozie Okoro for the workers and Oluseye Demuren for the defendants.
Following the adoption of the terms of settlement by the parties on the 28th of February 2018, the dispute between the parties have now been temporarily resolved as the workers await the payment of the wages come June 2019.
