Today is the day we celebrate the work of nurses and midwives and remind ourselves of the critical role they play in keeping our world healthy.
Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of the COVID-19 response – providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies geared towards protecting us.
Quite simply, without the nurses, there would be no response.
We celebrate our noble warriors in this new front line war to keep us healthy and strong.
Please, let us remember to wash our hands frequently and stay socially distanced.
Happy World Health Day
