Courtroommail.com, established in 2009 with an online presence beginning  in 2015 is celebrating a milestone of more than 2000 subscribers from 20+ African countries with subscriptions from Lesotho and Ethiopia coming in for the first time in the new year.

Courtroom Mail is scaling connections among African Lawyers through its listing and events.

Courtroom Mail’s founder Anthony  Atata sees this as a way of erasing borders in the profession. With Tech  defining how business models work and easing the mobility of start ups from one country to another, a  platform is needed where a principal  Lawyer representing a startup in Nairobi can easily  access another expert  in Capetown and Lagos for the purpose of expansion. This is what Courtroom  Mail has been working on in the past years.

Last week, Courtroommail.com  updated its portal to include a messaging button on all verified  users profile enabling clients  to reach out to lawyers directly .

It also added a client sign up which enables clients to sign up and become members of the portal without showing in the directory making it easy for a lawyer- Client interaction  on the site.

More features  are expected in the course of the year one of which  is a group feature for verified users who will be able to form groups along areas of competence and Countries eg Kenya- Nigerian  Network, Intellectual  Property  Network  etc

In 2026 , Courtroom Mail aims to connect 1000 Notaries Public and commissioners of oath ( some countries appoint lawyers commissioners for oath)across the continent while seeking deeper connections for African Lawyers.

Notaries are becoming increasingly needed in cross border transaction and courtroommail.com hopes to connect all of them in the continent.

“In 2026 we shall be promoting an event listing of all law related events across the continent. We want all African Lawyers anywhere in the world to be able to attend as many law events as they want anywhere in Africa especially those conducted remotely.”

Signing  up on courtroommail.com is free of charge while upgrade  to premium listing comes at a cost of #10 ( Before 30th of January) or $20 ( After 30th of January)annually depending on the time of the year one renews or upgrades.

Nigerian Subscribers will pay N11,500 early bird and N23,000 after the expiration  of Early bird.
