A Magistrates Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday remanded two suspects in prison custody for alleged armed robbery.

The suspects, Chigozie Uwaechi, 29, and Franklin Emmanuel, 24, and others now at large, allegedly robbed one Uto Felix of his Lexus ES300 car with registration number SLK 071 GJ valued at N 1.4m with a locally made pistol and other dangerous weapons.
It was gathered that the suspects dispossessed their victim of his television, cell phone, wristwatch and a pair of shoes all valued at N469,000.

The accused persons allegedly broke into the house of their victim at No.12, Road 3, Green layout, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, at about 1:00am on November 28, 2018.

The two counts of armed robbery brought against them were not read to them; hence they were not allowed to take any plea.
The Magistrate, Gomba Osaro, ordered that their case file be duplicated and forwarded to the office of Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

She also ordered that the suspects be remanded in prison custody and adjourned till April 30 for advice of the Director of Public Prosecution.
