The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja has dismissed the suit of Chief Arthur Obi Okafor SAN, challenging the election of Paul Usoro as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association. Courtroom mail reports.
The Court disagreed with the contention of Authur Obi Okafor that there has to be a post-election audit conducted by independent external auditors before the result of the election can be determined. The court said, this cannot be achieved within 24hrs as required by the law.
The court relied on Article 2.8 of the NBA constitution as canvassed by the defendants counsel and resolved all claims against the Claimant
