Dr. Uchenna Emelonye, Country Representative at United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Uganda has pledged to work with Okey Ilofulunwa in strengthening human rights.
The country representative made this known after being intimated of the plans and manifesto of Okey Ilofulunwa, Esq. for the Vice-chairmanship of the NBA Lagos Branch.
Mr Ilofulunwa’s plans for the Human Rights Committee which is to be headed by the Vice Chairman were deemed viable and welcome.
Mr Ilofulunwa intends to bridge the gap between lawyers and law enforcement agents in justice delivery to clients by making the Human Rights Committee more responsive to the needs of members of the Branch and the society.
He also promises to create a Corporate Social Responsibility framework to encourage law firms to sponsor the work of the Human Rights Committee.
