A Lagos High Court has ruled that Prince Buruji Kashamu and others should pay the sum of N 50,000,000. 00 daily to the claimant commencing from the 14th of August 2013.

The matter is between Lexan Properties Ltd Vs Prince Buruji Kashamu, Kasmal Properties and Kano State Government.

In the Judgement delivered by Justice SA Onigbanjo, she ruled that

“Pursuant to the provisions of order 23 rule 5 of the High Court Civil Procedure rules 2012,I find the defendant’s failure or refusal to attend CMC as scheduled today indicative of their being substantially unprepared to participate in the conference in good faith. Consequently, I shall enter judgement in respect of appropriate portions of the claimant’s claim against the defendant in line with the provision of the rules of court.

Judgement in the sum of N 50,000,000.00(fifty million Naira) daily commencing from the 14th day of August 2013 until the defendants yield up possession of the premises subject matter of this suit to the claimant is hereby entered in the claimant’s favour against the defendants”
