Courtroom Mail has released the 2025 Courtroom Mail 100.
The Courtroom Mail 100 list aimed at projecting female Lawyers in Sub Sahara Africa in categories known as SHID.( Super Heroes, Heroes, Influences and Disruptors.) is usually published on 8th of March every year.
Courtroom Mail 100 was founded by the founding editor of Courtroom Mail, Anthony Atata, five years ago.
Rehana Khan Parker a top South African Lawyer in Capetown who has served in different Judicial capacities and Maria Mbeneka a top Kenyan lawyer have chaired the panel for two years each since a panel of lawyers from across the continent started selecting the list.
The list is yet to hit the 100 nomination mark . According to Anthony Atata, “it is not because we don’t have more than a thousand and one female colleagues doing great things but because the list is yet to cover the entire continent to discover our exceptional female colleagues. He said, “..even when it gets to a 100, it will still be a scratch on the surface of the incredible work our female colleagues are doing in differrent capacities in the continent.”
This year’s list is 78, which is a progress from what we have last year.”
By putting out the work and achievements of our colleagues, we will be inspiring the younger generation and in line with this year’s theme of International Women’s Day, we will be accelerating action in efforts to close the gender gaps.
This year’s list was delayed but we are happy it’s out.
Our women are doing great in every profession. kudos to them.
