President Boko Administers Oaths of Office for Judicial Service Commissioners
26th of August- Duma Boko presided over the swearing in of Judicial Service Commissioners, Ms. Grace Muzila and Mr. Kabo Motswagole, whose nomination came through the Law Society of Botswana.
In his address, President Boko emphasized the pivotal role of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in strengthening Botswana’s justice system. He highlighted the importance of appointing judges who embody the values, wisdom, and jurisprudence necessary to guide society, noting that the calibre of judges shapes the nation’s future.
The President commended the Law Society of Botswana for its contribution to upholding professional standards and thanked the judiciary for ongoing reforms aimed at improving service delivery.
Quoting great legal thinkers, he encouraged continued dialogue on the attributes that define a judge, stressing the need for balance between judicial conservatism and progressiveness.
With the administration of the oath of office, Muzila and Motswagole officially assume their roles, joining in the crucial task of safeguarding the rule of law and supporting the administration of justice in Botswana.
