The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN was decorated as an advocate of Gender Equality at the HeForshe Campaign launch today by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the Attorney-General, all abusers of women’s right would not go scot free, stating that there is no going back on championing Girls/Women’s right crusade in Lagos State.
The Ministry of Justice will continue to champion girls/Women’s right. We have noticed a lot abuse against the female gender, therefore, reiterate our stand that Lagos State has zero telorance for domestic and sexual violence against women.
Also, going forward we have plans in the pipeline to build up a Law to take care of victims of the abuse. We do not want to purnish the perpetrators of the abuse only but to also take care of the victims inorder avoid any future mental or psychological can that might emanate from their bitter experience.
