NEC: Stamps are now being delivered to lawyers in a fortnight-We will shorten it further-Paul Usoro

A minute silence was observed by lawyers at the NEC for lawyers who lost their lives this year especially those who were assassinated.

The President reiterated his commitment to cut cost in running the IBA and explained that the Bar will seek  alternative means of income in funding its activities.

He said that the Bar in working on an exhaustive members data base for the purpose of verification and other.

About the 2019 National election,the NBA made it clear that the votes of Nigerians must count and enjoined all lawyers to be involved in process to make sure that credible elections are held in Nigeria

He informed the NEC members that the time of stamp delivery has been remarkably shortened to two weeks and the exco is working hard to further reduce the time to make sure that stamps get to lawyers within the shortest possible time.

On the website of the association,he said that the bar has responded to the complain of young lawyers that the website of the association is not sufficiently interactive.Talks have began with service providers to upgrade it and bring it in line with what is obtainable in today’s practice.
